POSITION ctcLink Reporting and Analytics Project Lead SALARY $90,000 Annually LOCATION Bellevue, Washington OPENS Monday, January 14, 2013 CLOSES Friday, February 1, 2013 OVERVIEW The SBCTC Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Project, called ctcLink, is a multi-phase, multi-year project that will replace the full administrative software suite for the 34 community and technical colleges and the SBCTC. The Reporting and Analytics Project Lead will be responsible for the analysis and delivery of reporting, business intelligence, and analytical capabilities of the solution. Key responsibilities Analyze current ad-hoc reporting capabilities and develop a comprehensive list of mission critical reports required to maintain business continuity. Work with module Functional Project Leads to assess reporting requirements met through standard, ?out-of-the-box? PeopleSoft application software or Business Analytics offerings. Define, document and prioritize ad-hoc reporting and analytics requirements not met with delivered functionality. Analyze future reporting and analytic requirements. Develop and maintain reporting and analytics strategy / plan. Works with Functional Analysts and end-user subject matter experts to design reports for the new ERP system (including writing report specifications). Provides leadership, needs assessment and guidance on report development by cultivating a strong working relationship with college teams and the data standards group. Provides input on functional/technical specifications for reporting, interfaces and customizations. Ensure that the ERP vendor ability on PeopleSoft info retrieval tools, such as PS Query and PS/nVision and Oracle Business Intelligence tools, such as OBIEE and Hyperion are proactively leveraged and knowledge is transferred effectively across the teams. Lead the development of additional reports required to meet mandates or fill critical gaps in the business processes. Facilitates the resolution of data structure design decisions to support business intelligence and lead issue escalation through the governance process. Work together with the Identity and Access Management Project Lead to ensure application security roles and properly enforced in the data access methods. Review all work performed / delivered by teammates (including Report Developers, and Functional Analysts and other subject matter experts assigned to support report development activities). Lead the development activities for reporting test scripts for utilization prior to implementation. Develop test data to verify that new reports perform as required and expected. Support the testing process by tracking all bugs / defects relating to reports; working with Functional Leads, Functional Analysts and other subject matter experts to prioritize their resolution; and managing the resolution process. Facilitate college staff adoption and use of reporting capabilities across all modules by providing input on the end-user training strategy, and when appropriate, delivering such training. Support the work of the OCM Team, Communications Lead, Risk Manager / QA Lead as it relates to functional activities and deliverables. Performs other duties as assigned.
